When Help Truly Helps
Every day, we work with many people — each with their own story, challenges, and experiences. The last thing anyone should feel when interacting with us is fear or distrust.
That is why it is important to us not only what we do, but also how we do it.
Safe assistance means that every person receiving support has the right to respect, dignity, and protection. This is the core principle enshrined in our Policy on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and an integral part of our daily work.
What PSEA Is and Why It Matters
Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is part of a global initiative aimed at safeguarding people who receive humanitarian or social assistance from any form of abuse of power or trust.
In the humanitarian context, these violations can happen when a person providing assistance misuses their power, and those harmed are the people receiving that help.
Unfortunately, there are cases where representatives of charitable or humanitarian organizations misuse their position for personal gain — suggesting “mutual favors,” humiliating, or violating personal boundaries.
We strongly condemn such behavior and have implemented clear rules to ensure that this never happens in our activities.

Where We Refer for Support
We are not a medical, psychological, or law enforcement institution and therefore do not directly provide survivor support services. However, our organization operates an internal mechanism for responding to cases of sexual exploitation and abuse and has a designated focal point responsible for receiving complaints and reports.
We guarantee that each report will be reviewed appropriately. When necessary, the person will be referred to specialized and verified service providers that offer professional support. ⭠ active link
We assist with the referral process and remain in contact — with the person’s consent.

Our Position
We firmly believe that assistance must be safe, dignified, and humane. We work to ensure that every person who turns to us feels protected, not vulnerable.
Respect. Dignity. Safety. These are not just words — they define how we engage with people every day. If something causes concern or doubt — do not stay silent. Tell us. We will help.
