The year 2024 was a time of consistent and focused work by our team to support the healthcare sector.

We continued to develop initiatives that not only assist medical institutions but also have a systemic impact by advancing the qualifications of medical professionals, providing hospitals with modern, high-quality equipment, and supporting areas that require particular attention during wartime.

Our priorities remain unchanged: rehabilitation for the injured, women’s and children’s health, and support for frontline medical facilities. We place special emphasis on the quality of medical services and the accessibility of care for the most vulnerable populations.

Key Achievements in 2024:

12 medical institutions across different regions of Ukraine received support from our foundation.
36 units of modern medical equipment were delivered and are actively used in clinical practice.
48 medical professionals underwent training and workshops to work with new technologies confidently and effectively.

As a result of these efforts, we estimate that approximately 25,000 patients gained access to higher-quality medical care.

The total budget for medical projects and initiatives in 2024 exceeded 18 million UAH.

One of the flagship projects of 2024 was “Resilience: Regained Strength” — an initiative aimed at strengthening rehabilitation support for individuals who sustained severe injuries due to the war. Within this project, we assisted medical institutions in four Ukrainian regions and invested in the training of their medical personnel. Learn more about the project implementation [here].

Perhaps the most difficult, yet one of the most crucial, moments of the year was the emergency support for Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital following a missile strike. Thanks to donor support via the Fishka platform, we were able to purchase and deliver medical equipment worth 5 million UAH. These advanced devices are now in use in the ultrasound diagnostics and otolaryngology departments.

We would also like to highlight the beginning of our productive partnership with Vodafone Ukraine. Together, we organized electromyography training for 10 doctors from various regions and delivered essential equipment to 4 hospitals, including a physiotherapy lift, rehabilitation modules, a gynecological chair, and infusion pumps.

Additionally, through the dobro.ua platform, we implemented a number of targeted yet highly necessary equipment transfer initiatives, including rehabilitation devices, analyzers, suction units, and centrifuges. This exemplifies how even small contributions, when combined, can yield significant results.

This year has once again proven: help is meaningful when it is systemic, ongoing, and responsive. We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood with us — donors, partners, medical workers, and all those who cared.

Plans and Priorities for 2025

In 2025, we are continuing our efforts — the medical direction remains our priority and is as relevant as ever. Rehabilitation, hospital support, and work with vulnerable groups will stay at the core of our activities.

At the same time, the beginning of the year brought challenges. Due to changes in the political landscape — particularly the adjustment of U.S. funding programs — some international donors temporarily suspended support or shifted focus to other regions and areas. This impacted the overall dynamics of the civil sector: delays emerged, aid volumes decreased, and project planning became less predictable. Nonetheless, we managed to overcome this difficult period and stabilize our operations.

We are especially pleased that by spring, we secured support from GlobalGiving. This allows us not only to continue but also to expand the “Resilience: Regained Strength” project, which proved highly effective in 2024. For us, this is more than financial support — it’s a vote of confidence and a shared vision of the changes we strive to make.

This year, we also plan to deepen our focus on women’s reproductive health and child healthcare. These are vital investments in the future. Supporting women, especially in complex social or security contexts, and developing children’s medical services are critical measures that will have a tangible impact both now and in the long term.

To achieve these ambitious goals, we aim to engage new international partners, expand our resource base, and introduce innovative approaches in every aspect of our work. Our goal is not only to respond to needs but also to systematically enhance the quality and sustainability of healthcare in communities.

There are still many challenges ahead. But we are confident: together we can achieve even more for those in need. We will continue to strengthen areas that have already proven effective while opening new growth opportunities. Our goal remains unchanged: systemic change that ensures sustainable, high-quality medical care for everyone who needs it.
