6 MORE REHABILITATION DEVICES DELIVERED IN LVIV AND UZHHOROD TOTALLING 55,875$
Within the framework of the “Resilience: Regained Strength” project which is aimed at increasing the level of medical rehabilitation of the wounded in Ukraine, we provided rehabilitation departments of medical institutions in Lviv and Uzhhorod with necessary modern equipment totaling 2,234,880 UAH (55,875$).
Specifically, Lviv Regional Hospital named after Y. Lypa received:
• Fisiotek 3000 TS passive rehabilitation device
• Levitas PRO sling therapy system and Beryl procedural table
• Electra 2 physiotherapy device
• Multifunctional fine motor skills development table Manualex M12
For Uzhhorod Municipal Multiprofile Clinical Hospital, we provided:
• Bedside active-passive lower limb training system CycleMotus B2L
• Fisiotek 3000 TS passive rehabilitation device
*The equipment we transferred is already in use, aiding patients.
Lviv Regional Hospital named after Y. Lypa is a leading medical institution specializing in medical, psychological, and physical rehabilitation of civilians and veterans, as well as internally displaced persons affected by war. Since February 24, 2022, the hospital has provided rehabilitation services to over 5,000 patients, including many evacuated civilians – women, the youth, and the elderly affected by shelling and bombardments.
Uzhhorod Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients with various injuries, including upper and lower limb fractures, blast injuries, and musculoskeletal trauma. The hospital has a 45-bed inpatient department and serves between 45 to 50 inpatients monthly, as well as providing outpatient care for 45-65 individuals, with 10-20% of them being severe cases.
Given the high workload and complexity of patient injuries these medical institutions face, the provided equipment ensures high standards of rehabilitation and enhances the effectiveness of medical care. This not only promotes faster patient recovery but also helps reduce the workload on medical personnel, providing a more personalized approach to each patient.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
In 2024 our project “Resilience: Regained Strength” aims to provide essential support to 7 medical institutions in Ukraine across Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Vinnytsia oblasts. These facilities cure various individuals who have suffered injuries, including loss of mobility due to shelling and combat hostilities.
The project plans to purchase and deliver 19 units of modern and high-quality medical and rehabilitation equipment (17 have already been purchased and commissioned) and organize training in electromyography, ultrasound diagnostics, and other advanced treatment methods for about 40 physicians specializing in physical and rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neurologists, and related fields.
The mission of this project is to return as many injured Ukrainians to an autonomous life as possible and to minimize social problems caused by a large number of injured people.
