NEW APPLIANCES FOR A LARGE FAMILY FROM DNIPROPETROVSK REGION
Caring begins with simple things. To ensure that children grow up in safety and comfort, it is vital to provide families with decent basic living conditions.
That is why we delivered a new Electrolux gas hob, valued at 9,400 UAH, to the family-type children’s home of Tetiana and Petro Orlenko. For a large family where meals are prepared for ten people every single day, this is a truly essential item.
The family currently resides in the village of Sviatovasylivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, having been displaced from the Kherson region due to the war.
The Family’s Story
Tetiana and Petro are educators who have dedicated their entire lives to children. In 2008, already having a daughter of their own, they took their first foster girl into their care. Soon, they felt called to do more: three more children joined the family, followed later by three siblings.
In 2013, their foster family officially became a Family-Type Children’s Home (FTCH). Since then, many children have passed through Tetiana and Petro’s home; today, they study, work, and always return to them as their own kin.
The Children’s Lives Today
Currently, the home is filled with nine children: school-age students and two college students. The children are very active—participating in school life, playing sports, competing in chess and checkers, bead-weaving, solving puzzles, and enjoying board games. The two eldest are already preparing for independent adulthood and learning their chosen professions.
Support That Eases Daily Life
This assistance was made possible through our support program for family-type children’s homes. Even a single household appliance can transform daily comfort and create more space for warmth and care.
Together, we support those who provide children with a family and a chance for a happy future every day.
