IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VODAFONE UKRAINE, WE HANDED OVER A MODERN STANDING FRAME FOR A CHILDREN’S CENTER IN MYKOLAIV

For a child who cannot stand independently due to illness or injury, the opportunity to rise to their feet, look at the world at eye level, and feel support is a huge step toward freedom and self-confidence.

As part of our partnership with Vodafone Ukraine, we handed over modern equipment to the Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care for Children under “Mykolaiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital” — a multi-functional EasyStand Bantam standing frame worth UAH 475,000.

The Center provides specialized assistance and medico-social protection for children from birth to 18 years old, including those from IDP families, orphans, and children with physical or mental disabilities. The facility operates three departments: medico-social care, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care. Every year, about 900 patients receive support here, and one-third of them are children with disabilities, for whose rehabilitation a standing frame is a basic daily necessity.

The facility’s old equipment was completely worn out and outdated, leaving specialists critically short of a modern tool for effective work. The new device has become a true lifesaver for the Center.

The EasyStand Bantam model is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation complex. Its main advantage is that a child can safely sit, stand, lie down, or remain in any intermediate position without needing to be transferred. The device features flexible adjustments, ensuring secure support for the children and easily adapting to their growth. Specialists use this trainer as a vital assistant to teach children how to walk and to support their psychophysical development.

“This standing frame has significantly simplified the work of our specialists. They can now focus on more effective rehabilitation methods, as the verticalization process itself has become much more comfortable for the children. They experience less stress, which positively affects their motivation for treatment. Now we can conduct more diverse sessions, including games and exercises to develop muscles, coordination, and balance.

This is critically important for our most complex patients — children with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other motor disorders. The new equipment helps them overcome motor activity deficits and socially integrate by communicating with peers on equal terms. We are sincerely grateful to the benefactors for this important step in the rehabilitation of our young patients!” notes Iryna Tymofiichuk, Head of the Center.

Regular sessions on the EasyStand Bantam yield substantial results:
Increases range of motion: helps prevent dangerous contractures (stiffening) of hips and knees;
Forms proper posture: ensures a natural, symmetrical, and consistent posture;
Normalizes muscle tone: correctly positions the body, thereby relieving spasmed muscles;
Improves overall body function: stimulates respiration, blood circulation, digestion, and urination processes;
Strengthens bones: stabilizes skeletal health and prevents the development of osteoporosis.

Modern pediatric rehabilitation in Ukraine requires world-class technologies. We sincerely thank our great friends — Vodafone Ukraine — for their systemic thinking, reliability, and significant investment in the health of Ukrainian children. Thanks to this synergy between business and charity, regional hospitals receive the best equipment for recovery. Together, we are helping children stand firmly on their feet!
