MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FOR WOMEN DEFENDERS (421.444 UAH)
On June 22, we delivered a hysteroscope and essential supplementary components to the Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans and Repressed, named after Yuriy Lypa.
Doctors have identified abnormal bleeding, resulting from various traumas, as a prevalent issue among women seeking medical attention. To provide expert assistance, the gynecological department urgently required modern hysteroscopic equipment, as the existing devices were outdated. The utilization of the provided hysteroscope, a minimally invasive medical device, is expected to significantly reduce the duration of operations and rehabilitation by half. Moreover, it will enhance the department’s capacity to accommodate and serve a larger number of women in need of medical assistance.
In May 2022, the hospital established dedicated gynecological care specifically for female military personnel. This department provides essential medical services to women serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to wounded and evacuated individuals. It is staffed with highly experienced doctors, which is essential in a state of war.
