SAINT NICHOLAS BRINGS JOY TO “MISTO DOBRA” SHELTER IN CHERNIVTSI
On December 6th, Saint Nicholas paid a heartwarming visit to the “Misto dobra” shelter in Chernivtsi, delivering not only treats but also unique art boxes by the Art4Kids art school. This initiative brought smiles to the faces of approximately 200 children who have been directly affected by the war.
“Misto dobra” shelter has been a steadfast refuge for many years. Initially created to support mothers with children facing violence and challenging life circumstances before the full-scale invasion, since 2022, the shelter has extended its compassionate embrace to include children who were forcibly displaced with their mothers due to russian aggression. Additionally, it accommodates orphaned children from children’s homes evacuated from frontline regions.
Each child received an art box filled with creative materials, accompanied by exclusive online classes with Art4Kids. Termed “Art for Beginners,” these courses transcend conventional art education, incorporating therapeutic elements, providing children with both creative expression and emotional support.
This meaningful project not only brings joy during the holiday season but also reinforces the importance of providing a bright and nurturing environment for children affected by the harsh realities of war.
The initiative was made possible through the collaboration with the Fishka platform, and heartfelt thanks are extended to all contributors for their invaluable support.
