HELP FOR MOSKALENKO FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOME
We bought and delivered help for the family-type children’s home of Olena Moskalenko in the form of food supplies and household goods for the total amount of 11,100 UAH.
Number of children: 6 children aged 8 to 17 years.
Brovary, Kyiv region. (displaced from the city of Oleshki, Kherson region)
Olena’s husband worked as a teacher in a boarding school for a long time. He saw how difficult it was for children to be there, so this influenced the couple’s decision to take their children for education. In 2012, they created a family-type children’s home.
Before the full-scale war, the family lived in the city of Oleshki, Kherson region. In 2022, the family survived two terrible months of occupation. At the end of April 2022, it became possible to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine. “We lived in the village, without amenities, then we moved to Kyiv, lived in a rented house, and now we live in the Kyiv region. Unfortunately, our house in Oleshki was flooded due to an accident at the Kakhovka Dam…” – says Olena.
The family has 6 children aged 8 to 17: three girls and three boys. Two biological children have already grown up and live separately. “The children are very talented: three of them play music, play the violin, the piano, and sing. Two boys play sports: football, and boxing. One of the boys also plays chess, and wins tournaments in the chess club. And the youngest girl, Veronika (8 years old), was adopted into the family this month. “
