ASSISTANCE TO SOLOMAKHA, ORLENKO AND OLEKSIUK FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOMES (39,354 UAH)
Last week, we provided assistance to three family-type homes in the amount of 39,354 UAH.
For the family-type children’s home of Oksana Solomakha, household appliances were provided amounting to 12,657 UAH.
The family is raising 10 children aged 8 to 16 in the city of Boryspil, Kyiv region (internally displaced from Luhansk region).
Oksana and her husband have been married for 35 years. At the beginning of their journey together, the couple faced challenges – they didn’t have children for the first 10 years. Later, they had two daughters, but Oksana says that during the time when they didn’t have children, they made a promise to themselves – to adopt at least one orphaned child. They kept their promise, but it didn’t stop at just one child, as on April 24, 2007, a family-type children’s home was established. Since then, Oksana and her husband have raised 20 children who have since left the family-type children’s home, all of whom have become full-fledged members of society. Currently, the family is raising 10 children, and this year marks the 17th anniversary of Oksana Solomakha’s family-type children’s home.
For the family-type children’s home of Tetiana Orlenko, household appliances were provided amounting to 11,999 UAH.
The family is raising 8 children aged 9 to 17 in the village of Sviatovasylivka, Dnipropetrovsk region (internally displaced from Kherson region).

When Tetiana and her husband Petro first welcomed their foster child into their family, they already had a biological daughter. However, the couple was eager to provide care and warmth to those who had a difficult fate. Later, Tetiana and Petro adopted three more children. Then, in early 2013, they established a family-type children’s home. As of now, the family is raising 8 orphaned children, all of whom are attending school.
Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, Tetiana and Petro have temporarily taken in children evacuated from conflict zones into their family.
For the family-type children’s home of Tetiana Oleksiuk, household appliances amounting to 14,698 UAH were provided.
The family consists of 9 children aged 10 to 15, residing in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi region.

The family-type children’s home was established in 2015, as the desire to give love to orphaned children arose long before that. Currently, the couple is raising nine children. All the children attend school, participate in art clubs, and have won prizes in city, regional, and nationwide Olympiads, contests, and competitions. They love to travel and explore new places. They play the bandura and piano as they attend a music school.
“We love traveling together, especially enjoying seaside vacations, but unfortunately, we haven’t been able to go there for several years. We live in Kamianets-Podilskyi in the Khmelnytskyi region. I am a massage therapist, and my husband and children take care of our own apiary and raspberry field. The children enjoy taking care of plants, so they actively participate in growing their own vegetables and fruit orchard. They take care of the trees, bushes, and plants,” Tetiana shares.
The assistance was provided within the framework of the “Help to Family-Type Children’s Homes” program.
