ASSISTANCE FOR THE BRAGINETS FAMILY (19,000 UAH)

21.08.2024

Last week, we purchased and delivered a refrigerator worth 19,000 UAH for the large family of Yelyzaveta and Oleksii Braginets.

The family, residing in Buzova village, Kyiv region, is raising and caring for 14 children.

Oleksii and Yelyzaveta are raising 14 adopted children, all from orphanages. In 2014, the couple adopted their first three children, and a year later, Child Services offered them the opportunity to open a family-type children’s home and care for even more children. They accepted the challenge.

In 2022, due to the russian invasion, the family fled their village in the Kyiv region, first moving to Western Ukraine and then to Poland. Child Services initially did not allow them to return, despite the family’s wishes, until a proper shelter was built. After two months, the family is finally back home, with a new shelter constructed by Oleksii.

All of the children are close-knit and talented: 16-year-old Daniel is a musician and dreams of having a great guitar; the girls enjoy knitting, beadwork, and drawing; and the boys are all into sports, especially football. The entire family loves to travel and dreams of the day they can explore Ukraine once again!

This assistance is provided as part of our program to support family-type children’s homes.
