HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES FOR TETYANA SHUTIKOVA’S FAMILY (15,000 UAH)
Last week, we purchased and delivered a Samsung washing machine worth 15,000 UAH to the family of Tetyana Shutikova. The family, from Holubiyovychi village, Kirovohrad region, cares for five foster children.
Family Story (from Tetyana Shutikova)
Our journey as a family that cares for foster children began nine years ago when Ruslan and Yulia joined us. We were inspired by friends who were already fostering orphaned children. Seven years later, we welcomed three brothers from one family, and now we have five children. At that point, we became not just a foster family but a family-type children’s home.
Our older children are already grown; our son is working, and our daughter is studying at university. The war has changed our lives, but the most important thing for us is the peace of our children. We want them to have a bright future here in Ukraine. We believe in victory because we don’t want our children to grow up in another country.
Every day brings new challenges and stories, especially with the younger ones: air raid alerts, sheltering, extra lessons to make up for missed material…
Each child has their own story. Next year, Ruslan will choose a profession; he does well in school and wants to become a doctor. Yulia is also a diligent student but hasn’t yet decided on a career. She loves to draw and is a great help to me. The younger children are just starting school: Bohdan dreams of becoming a chef, Yehor wants to build houses, and little Danylo, though still young, already looks forward to starting school.
The assistance was provided as part of the family-type children’s homes support program.
