SUPPORT FOR THE BANNIKOV FAMILY (10,183 UAH)

07.01.2025

Last week, we purchased and delivered furniture worth 10,183 UAH for Ihor and Nataliia Bannikov’s family-type children’s home. The family received four chairs and a writing desk.

The Bannikov family, located in the town of Sokhnovshchyna, Kharkiv region, is currently raising seven children.

In 2007, Ihor and Nataliia Bannikov established a foster family and took in 15-year-old Tetiana. By 2015, they were already raising five foster children. That same year, they welcomed two sisters into their home and became a family-type children’s home.

Today, the family is raising seven children between the ages of 7 and 18, while eight former foster children have successfully graduated and started their own independent lives, with some already building families of their own.

“Our children have fragile health, complex diagnoses, and special educational needs. The war has severely affected both their physical and psychological well-being. In early 2022, we had to evacuate to Poland, where we lived for a year. When the situation in our village improved, we returned home,” says Nataliia Bannikova.

Given the children’s health conditions, they all participate in therapeutic physical activities and dream of having their own outdoor sports area with exercise equipment. The girls also enjoy diamond embroidery, an activity that helps develop fine motor skills and supports their emotional well-being.

This assistance was provided as part of the family-type children’s home support program. We aim to help foster parents create comfortable conditions where children can grow, learn, and develop.
