SUPPORT FOR ARTUR KOLIAKIN (30,000 UAH)

12.05.2025

At the beginning of April, we funded a rehabilitation course worth 30,000 UAH for Artur Koliakin at the Victoria Child Rehabilitation Center in the Kyiv region. Artur completed his course on May 1.

Date of Birth: March 21, 2018
Diagnosis: Autism

Artur is 7 years old. He is an active, cheerful boy, but he has no friends, as he is not like other children. At the age of 2, Artur was diagnosed with autism. His parents first noticed the signs: he didn’t respond when called, showed no interest in toys, and did not speak. After numerous consultations, a psychiatrist confirmed the diagnosis, and since then, the family has focused all their efforts on his development.

Artur loves riding his bike, jumping on a trampoline, swimming, solving puzzles, drawing, and singing. However, he struggles to control his emotions, which makes other children afraid to play with him. “It’s very painful as a mother to see your child lag behind in development,” says his mother, Olga.

Artur needs regular medical massages, sessions with a psychologist, speech therapist, defectologist, swimming, and physical therapy to reinforce the skills he has gained. Recently, he has shown positive progress — he has started speaking better and understanding his surroundings more.

“We are pleased with the rehabilitation course,” shares Artur’s mother, Olga Koliakin. “Progress is slow, but with each small step, Artur is gaining new skills. We especially love the pool sessions, as they help him relax, which greatly improves his condition. Sessions with the speech therapist and psychologist have significantly enhanced his speech, cognitive, and mental abilities. Artur loves the Victoria Center — it’s his favorite place where he fully engages with the specialists, and it makes me so proud to see him trying, wanting, and achieving. But continuous correction is essential; we can’t stop now. Sincere thanks to the benefactors and specialists who work hard every day to provide this support.”

We believe that Artur will overcome these challenges and live a full, meaningful life.

This project was made possible thanks to donations collected through the dobro.ua platform.
