AID TO THE KOROL IVAN FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOME IN THE AMOUNT OF 14,346 UAH

25.12.2023

Household appliances worth  14,346 UAH were handed over to the family-type children’s home.

7 children aged 4 to 17, Dublyany, Lviv region.

Back in 2007, the Korol couple decided that they wanted to raise children who did not have a family, and for the first time applied to the Social Security Administration for the preparation of documents. At that time, Ivan and his wife had three children, the youngest was one year old. “Then we didn’t manage to create a foster family or a family-type home, but we didn’t stop thinking about orphans,” says Ivan, “and now 11 years have passed, the children have grown up, the youngest was 12 years old, and we made a decision to try ourselves as a foster family to see if we can take on such a difficult task. We spent 3.6 years in foster care. During this time, 17 children passed through our family, and then we finally decided to dedicate our lives to children who found themselves in a difficult situation.” For this, the family moved from central Ukraine to Lviv, where they received appropriate training, and in December 2021 they opened as a family-type children’s home. “Now, so far, we have seven children – four boys and three girls, one of them has a disability. But with the beginning of the war, we understand that there will be many orphans, they will already be children of the war.” – says father Ivan.

All children at this family have their preferences and strive for development, so Yaromir (12 years old) expressed a desire to learn to play the guitar; and Kaleria (8 years old) wants to draw and sing; Nastya (14 years old) also wants to learn to draw; Mark (17 years old) graduated from secondary school and music school in the piano class and is studying at Ivano-Frankivsk University; Artem (12 years old) has not yet decided what he wants to learn to play or do sports, and his parents are not encouraging him – so it is not time yet; Markiyan (5 years old) and Valeriya (5 years old) go to kindergarten.

“We like to travel, go to museums, rest together. We are planning a trip on bicycles, and we also dream of a hiking trip with an overnight stay in tents.”
