We provided assistance to the family-type children’s home of Maryna and Viktor Shapoval in the form of a microwave oven, towels, hygiene products, and laundry products for a total amount of 13,087 UAH.
City: Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. (displaced from the Kherson region, the village of Novovorontsovka)
Number of children: 5.
The history of Shapoval family began in 2012, when the couple together with their biological daughter decided to give warmth and love to children who needed a family. There was always a lot of joy and harmony in the big house of the Shapoval family. Within ten years, they became parents to 14 children, uniting them in a big and happy family. Now their family consists of father Victor, mother Maryna, three girls – Nadia, Galina, Polina, and two boys – Oleg and Mykola. Each of the children has their interests and hobbies.
On February 24, 2022, war came into their lives. The soldiers of the russian army were only 20 minutes away from their house, so the family had to leave their hometown and leave everything they had, taking only the most necessary things: food, medicine, documents, and water.
The family has been living in the city of Kolomyia in the West of Ukraine for more than six months, and they still cannot get used to the new realities of life.
Marina and Viktor want to thank everyone who did not leave them alone during this difficult period. They believe in a better future, victory and know that together they are stronger. Their story is an example of family strength and faith in the best.
The assistance was provided within the framework of the “Help to family-type children’s homes” support program.
