CREATIVITY SETS FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED CHILDREN AT THE RECOVERY CAMP

21.08.2023

On August 18, 2023, we provided 65 Art4Kids creativity sets worth 55 250 UAH (approx. 1500$) for children at the “Recovery Camp” in Lviv.

This is a 6-day camp specifically created for internally displaced children and their mothers, as well as those living in frontline cities like Kherson, Kharkiv, and others who suffer from constant shelling.

The camp is designed for 75 people and is completely free, providing children and their mothers with balanced meals and comfortable accommodations. During their stay, they have the opportunity to distract themselves from the harsh reality and engage in psycho-emotional rehabilitation. The camp is staffed by a team of highly qualified psychologists, sports trainers, animators, and art therapy specialists.

The project started in 2022, shortly after the full-scale invasion, and its participants are thousands of children and mothers who eagerly await the next opportunity to return to the camp. Camp sessions are held continuously throughout the year.

Since participation in the camp is entirely free, there is always a need for financial support, as well as providing all the necessary materials for organizing children’s leisure activities. Therefore, we provided 65 large art boxes with everything needed for creativity, from pastels and watercolors to palettes and gouache or modeling clay.

This assistance was provided as part of the “Ukraine War Help Center” project, which you can support on our website.
