CRITICAL EQUIPMENT FOR MITIGATING THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA DAM EXPLOSION (259.050 UAH)
This week, in collaboration with our partners at EasyPay company, we have procured essential critical equipment to help alleviate the impact of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station disaster. The total amount spent is 259 050 UAH.
The acquired equipment includes seven motor pumps for the Bilozerska hromada, along with 15 units of hoses and sprayers (totaling 500 meters) for the Dariivska hromada.
Motor pumps are powerful devices designed to transfer large volumes of fluid, particularly water. They play a crucial role in rapidly draining water from damaged or flooded areas, making them indispensable in addressing the aftermath of the explosion at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
The Bilozerska hromada, with its population of over 11000 residents, has been significantly affected by the flood. Furthermore, it has provided shelter to evacuees from more severely flooded areas. On June 13, the town was subjected to intense shelling, resulting in damage to four residential buildings, the post office, administrative structures, the central square, and critical infrastructure facilities.
Sprayers are essential tools for disinfecting affected areas by treating them with specialized chemical agents. Given the extensive water contamination and flooded regions, there is a heightened risk of bacterial growth and the presence of hazardous substances. Therefore, disinfection plays a pivotal role in mitigating the consequences of the flooding. Dariivka, a village located near Kherson, has also experienced flooding and is home to approximately 3000 residents.
