EQUIPMENT FOR KHERSON REGIONAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL (400,865 UAH)

17.01.2025

Last week, Vodafone Ukraine supported purchasing and delivering medical equipment to the Kherson Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. The hospital received a BOOM 1 gynecological electric chair, BeneFusion infusion, and syringe pumps, totaling 400,865 UAH.

The hospital was under occupation for eight months, yet despite all the challenges, medical staff continued to save critically ill newborns and children with severe injuries. It is the only facility in the region providing highly specialized care for children with the most complex and severe conditions. The hospital has a capacity of 450 beds and 27 departments, allowing it to provide inpatient care to 16,000 patients and outpatient services to 80,000 patients annually.

The hospital is currently treating children affected by hostilities, including those suffering from blast injuries, burns, and amputations. It offers a wide range of services, from obstetrics and gynecology to oncology treatment and complex surgical procedures. Due to this, there is an urgent need for syringes and infusion pumps. This equipment ensures precise drug dosing and the administration of vital medications and solutions, minimizing the risk of errors and improving treatment quality for critically ill patients, resuscitation cases, and long-term pediatric recovery.

The hospital’s gynecology department also provides medical care for pregnant women, postpartum support, and assistance to adolescent girls regarding reproductive health. In frontline regions, this department is especially important, as prolonged stays in shelters during shelling contribute to the development of gynecological conditions due to cold exposure and stress. The availability of a modern, professional examination chair will ensure comfortable and safe conditions for examinations, diagnostics, and treatment—crucial for maintaining women’s health in difficult circumstances.

We are sincerely grateful to our partners at Vodafone Ukraine, whose support made this project possible.
