FIRST STEPS TOWARD DREAMS IN THE CITY OF PROFESSIONS: A DAY FOR FOSTER FAMILIES
Eleven children from the family-type children’s homes of Olena Vydiuk and Inna Kryvko visited the City of Professions.
Together with our friends and partners at city24, we gave the children a chance to take their first steps toward their dreams — to try different professions, plan a budget, earn and spend money, explore, ask questions, and analyze. And most importantly — to laugh, share emotions, and enjoy new discoveries.
It was a day full of both play and seriousness — and, above all, belief in themselves. And it created priceless memories that the children will carry with them for a long time.
The day ended with a warm group lunch — and one more surprise: each family received a tablet from our foundation as a gift.
The Vydiuk family from Lviv is raising 10 children, nine of whom are biological siblings taken in together. The couple had volunteered for many years before deciding to create a family-type children’s home and give the children a real home filled with love and care.
Despite the challenges of war and everyday struggles, their big family lives with dreams, mutual support, and hope for the future.
The Kryvko family from Dublyany has been a family-type children’s home for many years and is raising 10 children.
They started with one girl in their care, and over time welcomed many more, expanding their family.
Each child has their own dreams, talents, and ambitions — and most importantly, the feeling that they are not alone in this world.
This initiative was carried out as part of our program supporting family-type children’s homes.
