HEARING AIDS FOR ZAHAROVA ANDRIANA (115,000 UAH)

12.04.2024

This week, on April 9, 2024, we provided Zaharova Andriana with hearing aids totaling 115,000 UAH.

Diagnosis: bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, grade 4.

Date of birth: January 28, 2012.

Andriana is 11 years old, and she is being raised by her grandmother along with her younger sister, Sofia, who is 9 years old. The girls have a difficult fate, as their parents were deprived of their rights. Andriana’s grandmother has been by her side since her birth, eagerly awaiting her granddaughter’s milestones and hoping to hear her first words. When Andriana was 2.5 years old, they consulted doctors and learned that she was deaf. She was diagnosed with bilateral grade 4 hearing loss.

Andriana was given a free hearing aid, but unfortunately, it turned out to be too weak. Her grandmother enrolled her in a specialized school where she began learning sign language. She enjoys school, but it does not diminish her desire to hear.

“Often, Andriana comes up to me and asks, ‘I want to hear.’ It’s so difficult to experience,” says her grandmother. Andriana is intelligent, clever, has a good memory, and constantly seeks to learn new things. She loves drawing, molding figurines from clay, and at home with her grandmother, she enjoys making dumplings and pancakes.

Her grandmother did not have the means to provide the child with expensive hearing aids, but thanks to the support of caring people, a path to a full life is opening up for Andriana.

The fundraising campaign was held on the dobro.ua platform.
