HELP TO KIMLYK FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOME (12 965 UAH)

30.10.2023

We provided the children in Anzhela Kymlyk’s family-type children’s home with comfortable sleeping places by purchasing a bunk bed and two mattresses for a total of 12,965UAH.

Number of children: 8 (aged 8 to 18)

Kryvyi Rih (displaced from the Kherson region)

It all began in 2009 when two little sisters, Ira and Lili, entered the lives of the Kymlyk couple, Angela and her husband, who then decided to adopt them. The family’s journey evolved, and in 2014, driven by a desire to extend love to more children, they transitioned from being a foster family to a family-type orphanage. Over the years, the Kymlyk couple warmly welcomed six more children into their home.

Initially residing in their own seaside house in Lazurne, Kherson region, the Kymlyk family created comfortable conditions for the children. However, the full-scale invasion by the russian federation forced them to endure occupation. After 1.5 months, the family seized an opportunity to leave, relocating to Kryvyi Rih. Unfortunately, this transition meant losing everything they had accumulated over the years. Departing with only the essentials in backpacks, finding suitable rental housing proved challenging due to the family’s size. Larger houses, accommodating everyone, were financially out of reach. Currently residing in their third apartment, the family faces the prospect of moving once again.

Three children are now adults with families of their own, one son has been serving in the Armed Forces for 1.5 years, and Irynka and Lilya recently enrolled in the Kharkiv National Air Force University. Sixteen-year-old Serhiy is pursuing his passion for car mechanics, inspired by his love for assembling and disassembling Lego models since childhood. Other children attend online school, engage in karate, and enjoy artistic pursuits like drawing and sculpting with plasticine.

This assistance was extended within the framework of the “HELP TO FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOMES” program.
