HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE FOR THE BOICHENKO FAMILY (18,399 UAH)
Last week, we purchased and delivered a Whirlpool washing machine worth 18,399 UAH for Olena Boichenko’s family in Vylkove, Odesa region. The family is raising eight children.
Family Story (from Olena Boichenko’s perspective)
My husband and I have five biological daughters. Four of them have grown up and started their own families, while our youngest, 15-year-old Inessa, is still with us.
More than four years ago, my husband and I decided to become a foster family. In December 2021, we took in three children. After the full-scale invasion began, we decided to welcome two more, becoming a family-type children’s home.
For the past three years, we have seen the happy faces of our children and know that we are doing something right. Today, we are raising seven foster children.
The kids love drawing, swimming, sewing, baking treats, playing games in the yard, and spending time with their peers. They also eagerly look forward to attending school in person, as online learning is often disrupted by power outages and unstable internet due to ongoing attacks.
We chose not to leave our home despite the war, hoping that this nightmare will soon end. However, the constant worry for our children remains, especially during air raid alerts.
We are sincerely grateful to the Foundation for responding to our needs, as there are many. Unfortunately, we are unable to meet them all on our own.
This assistance was provided as part of the family-type children’s home support program.
