HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE FOR THE TETIANA ORLENKO FAMILY (17,299 UAH)

13.11.2024

Last week, we purchased and delivered a Beko dryer worth 17,299 UAH for the foster family of Tetiana Orlenko.

The family is raising 8 children in the village of Sviatovasylivka, Dniprovskyi district.

Tetiana and Petro were both school teachers and always had a deep love for children. It pained them to see children not receiving the care and love they deserved from their parents. In 2008, they made the important decision to foster a girl. At that time, they already had their biological daughter. Over time, the family grew by adding two more girls and a boy. Later, after assessing their capabilities, Tetiana and Petro decided to take in three more siblings, the youngest of whom was just three years old.

In early 2013, their foster family became a family-type children’s home. Over the years, the children grew up, received an education and profession, and the family welcomed new children. All the children raised by Tetiana and Petro maintain warm relationships with their foster parents and often visit.

Today, their family is raising 8 children: six are school-aged, and two are college students. At the start of the full-scale war, Tetiana and Petro welcomed three children from Izium and later took in two boys from Skadovsk in the Kherson region.

The children actively participate in school life, play sports, including chess and checkers. They help with household chores and, in their free time, enjoy beadwork, puzzles, and board games. The older two are already preparing for independent life and are working hard to pursue their dream profession.

This support was provided as part of the family-type children’s home support program.
