HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES FOR THE HORBAN FAMILY (11,399 UAH)

30.09.2024

Last week, we purchased and delivered a Grunhelm freezer worth 11,399 UAH for Viktoriia Horban’s foster family.

The family, which consists of 9 children, has been displaced from the city of Kharkiv and is currently living in Lypkuvativka, Kharkiv region.

In 2011, Viktoriia Horban and her husband established a family-type children’s home. Since then, seven children have already grown up and started their independent lives. Currently, the family is raising 9 children, 8 of whom are foster children.

Viktoriia is a qualified emergency medical assistant specializing in urgent care. She has often responded to calls from orphanages and baby homes, and early in her career, she realized that children thrive best in a family environment, with a mother and father. Being in a family setting allows them to learn essential family values, communication skills, and the importance of supporting and helping one another. “This is why I created a family-type children’s home – out of a desire to provide care and a fulfilling life for others,” Viktoriia shares.

Due to the war, the family had to leave their native Kharkiv for a village in the region to escape constant shelling. The children dream of the war ending soon and being able to return to the sea, just as they did before, visiting Odesa and Kherson. The entire family is hoping for peace and the chance to return home.

This assistance was provided as part of the family-type children’s home support program.
