Sitchenko family-type children’s home
In 2006, the Sytchenko couple created a foster family and took care of raising a boy, Yura, born in 2003. At that time, Volodymyr Sytchenko retired from the army, and Anzhelika was on layoff. Doctors diagnosed infertility, so Volodymyr and Anzhelika decided to adopt. And in 2008, the couple unexpectedly had a son!
The desire for the sons to have a sister led to the fact that the family took the girls Natasha and Lera from the boarding school.
“That’s how we gradually became a family-type children’s home. Now we have 10 children living with us, from 8 to 20 years old, and we have released another 10 children who are already adults.” – mother Angelica.
They met the war at home in Pryluky, they did not go anywhere. For the first three months, we prepared lunches for the boys at the checkpoints, we all prepared them together. In that period it was necessary to do something in order not to lose one’s mind. The children suffered no less than ours, they were still afraid of the sound of airplanes and explosions for a long time. It’s a little easier now, but the air alarms keep me in constant tension.

A little story about them.
” Our house is always full of life and children’s bustle. And now I will tell you why. We welcome guests, impressions and communication. We are the magical eleven: mother and 10 children. Almost like “Ocean’s Friends”.
Each of us is interesting, with our own history, character, and dreams. Let’s try to briefly tell about ourselves. Let our story move upwards, according to the age of the children.
Our youngest star is almost five years old. Her name is Karolina. She adores girls’ dresses, never leaves the house without hairpins and jewelry. She dreams of becoming a princess and having her own real unicorn.
Now – Nikita. The real head of the headquarters of mischief and the center for the development of strategic mischief. Has interesting critical thinking – likes to try everything. A real master of building halabuds. Likes to ride anything with wheels.
Lisa Our singing queen. Her performance of “Stephania” in a low voice fascinates and surprises. Likes to read fairy tales and adventures. He dreams of becoming a hairdresser.
Roman is Mr. Style. Has incredible communicative abilities that far exceed our ability to perceive information. His stylistic preferences are beyond all templates. He tries himself in various circles – tourism. Or kickboxing. We are already a little confused ourselves. He dreams of traveling around the world by bicycle.
Polina A girl, twelve years old – of course, she is fond of “K-pop” culture. Very extravagant, appreciates own freedom of thought and unconventionality in people. He dreams of living in South Korea.
Sergey. A well-opened heart will always come to the rescue. A positive attitude is like a life credo. Has many friends and loves outdoor activities. He dreams of being a driver and of a cool smartphone.
Danya Chief. Very tasty and a pleasure to cook. No one has yet resisted his dumplings and pizza. Serious and balanced, you can always rely on him, which we are happy to do. He dreams of his own restaurant, and I look at him and am sure that he will succeed.
Milana. Our future doctor. Judging by her nobility, self-discipline is a rather strict doctor. She is demanding of herself and expects the same from others. He likes to learn and discover the world for himself.
Angelina. Our incredible tenderness. She definitely knows how to have a good time – a hammock, a warm blanket, delicious tea and the stars above her head – and let the whole world wait. She dreams of becoming a policewoman and winning a car in the lottery.
Arthur. Our good giant. A football player and an avid ping-pong player. He dreams of living on the island of Sicily, by the way, he is fluent in Italian. I hear from him almost a man’s bass – “m-a-a-m” – my personal happiness.
And finally, I am Anya. The mother of all this bright fair of happiness. I love arranging our family nest, traveling and milkshakes. I have two foreign languages and the art of catching “Zen” by the tail 😂
And Sol and Sahar with Audrey live with us – our dogs, who are always close by.
Archie, Santa and Sleigh are affectionate cats.
Vasok is a smart little mouse.
But the seven red-haired chickens are all named Zolottse.
That’s who we are. Of course, unusual.
Nice to meet you!”
Musienko family-type children’s home
Since 2015, Larisa and her husband bought a house in the city of Kamianske, renovated it, bought all the furniture, and then welcomed children into the family. At that time, the family had 5 children under their care, when the older children grew up, Larisa took in more children.
“Children are very kind, obedient, good helpers. When the war came, everyone immediately became serious and mature. It’s a pity for the children that they hardly go to school for the third year, they study remotely, it’s good that we have a home, and there are many of us, there is someone to talk to and play with, cook kulish on the fire, and listen to the chirping of birds. There is hope that the war will end soon, and that is all we need for happiness”
