INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S DAY TOGETHER WITH EASYPAY
Every year on June 1st, the whole world celebrates International Children’s Day. This initiative aims to draw attention to the rights and well-being of children worldwide. It is important as it emphasizes the need to protect children from violence, ensure their rights to education, health, and a decent life.
So, together with our friends and partners EasyPay, we decided to mark this day with useful gifts for children in family-type children’s homes.
5 tablets for education totaling 50,976 UAH were donated to the family-type children’s homes of Batiuk Yana, Chechera Olga, and Kurnitska Olga. These families currently care for 26 children. Our program supports family-type children’s homes and provides the necessary conditions for education, self-development, and acquiring new skills.
Today, due to russian military aggression, family-type children’s homes and large families require special attention. Especially those families that resided in temporarily occupied territories or near the front line, were forced to leave their homes, leaving all property and belongings behind, others experienced material-economic changes, so most need support.
For example, the Batiuk Yana family, raising 9 children aged 2 to 17, decided to dedicate all their time to raising children, making it their priority and calling. Before the full-scale invasion, the family lived in Bilozerka, Donetsk region, but they were forced to leave their home and move to Cherkasy, where they currently rent housing.

The Chechera Olga family’s house was destroyed by russians in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region, and now the family is forced to rent housing in Poltava. The family cares for 9 children aged 2 to 19.

Kurnitska Olga’s family is a place where 8 children found boundless love and warmth. Olga is a mother-caretaker who knew from an early age that she would adopt and raise orphaned children. Her mother was also an orphan from childhood, and she shares this pain with every child.

Stories like these show that real kindness and dedication change lives for the better. Small steps help children find their way in this world and feel the warmth of family despite all the difficulties. Therefore, support for family-type children’s homes in Ukraine as the most effective and humane form of raising children deprived of parental care is essential for forming a healthy and full-fledged nation. After all, the truth lies in this seemingly banal and clichéd phrase: children are our future.
