LAPAROSCOPIC SYSTEM FOR KHERSON HOSPITAL (791,000 UAH)

08.01.2024

On December 27, 2023, we delivered a Laparoscopic system valued at 791,000 UAH to Kherson Hospital, dedicated to providing critical care to individuals affected by the war. This system comprises essential tools, including a laparoscope, multifunctional Multiport trocar systems, trocars, forceps of various types, and more.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Fishka.Charity team for their collaboration, as this project was made possible through fundraising on their platform.

Previously, we have successfully transferred essential equipment, such as an operating table and coagulator, utilized in surgical and operating departments. The laparoscopic system is designed to work in conjunction with the coagulator, enabling more precise and effective surgical interventions.

The laparoscopic method is employed for gastric and abdominal operations in complex clinical cases. It involves a small incision through which the device penetrates into the human body’s middle. With the assistance of an optical device, internal organs are visible, facilitating the surgical procedure. Notably, the incision from this method is minimal, leaving no scars in subsequent positions. Patient recovery is approximately three times faster than conventional operations.

Kherson Hospital functions as a “BLIL-2” class 24-hour medical care facility, operating as a level 2 intensive care base hospital. It provides round-the-clock assistance to victims and wounded individuals resulting from military aggression by the russian federation. The hospital accommodates 100-120 patients, primarily dealing with surgical issues.

This support was rendered within the framework of the “Ukraine War Help Center” program.

*Please note that the full name of the medical institution is not disclosed for security reasons.
