MEDICATIONS FOR TREATING CHILDREN AT ZAKARPATTIA HOSPITAL (10,240 UAH)
This week, we purchased and delivered the medication Heptral (4 packs) and bone marrow biopsy needles (6 units) totaling 10,240 UAH for the oncohematology department of the Zakarpattia Regional Children’s Hospital.
The department has 30 beds, and currently, 10 children with cancer are being treated in the hospital.
Heptral is used in the treatment of pediatric oncology as part of supportive therapy aimed at restoring liver function impaired by chemotherapy. Bone marrow biopsy needles are used to obtain bone marrow tissue samples for the diagnosis and monitoring of pediatric oncological diseases. This procedure helps doctors establish a diagnosis, determine the stage of the disease, and choose the most effective treatment method.
This assistance was provided under the “Childhood Cancer” program.
