REHABILITATION COURSE FOR KIRA MAIBORODA (26,050 UAH)

17.06.2024

This month, we covered the cost of treatment amounting to 26,050 UAH at the “Tomatis” Center for Kyra Mayboroda.

Diagnosis: Autism
Date of Birth: March 16, 2016

On June 14, 2024, Kyra completed a course of psychophysical rehabilitation, which included procedures such as physical therapy, aquatic therapy, and sessions with a correctional teacher and psychologist.

“Each rehabilitation session is a step forward. During this rehabilitation, Kyra learned to pronounce sounds, which she did very well. I am sincerely grateful to the charity fund and all the donors who contributed to raising the funds,” shared her mother, Zoya.

Kyra is 8 years old, a kind, lively, and restless child. At the age of 3, she was diagnosed with “childhood autism.” Since then, the struggle began: constant rehabilitations, sessions with specialists, and doctor visits…

Over the past four years, there have been many positive changes, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Unfortunately, Kyra is not yet speaking, and significant efforts are required to make this happen, especially as she prepares to start school next year. She also struggles with behavioral and emotional control, often expressing any dissatisfaction very demonstratively.

To achieve the desired results, rehabilitation needs to be continuous and stable; stopping is not an option. As a single mother, it is very challenging for Kyra’s mom to pay for her daughter’s treatment alone, which is why they need support.

“Kyra loves her sessions, and they bring her great joy. She is a very gentle and cheerful child who always starts her sessions with hugs. I have now exhausted all my financial resources, so I am reaching out for help, as there is still a lot of work and rehabilitation ahead,” says Kyra’s mom.

Funds were raised through the platform dobro.ua.
