SUPPORT AND CARE FOR THE BATIUK FAMILY
We are pleased to share that, as part of our support program for family-type children’s homes, we provided the Batiuk family with essential household appliances, including a vacuum cleaner and a stove.
The family now resides in the city of Cherkasy and is raising nine children, five of whom are foster children. Their story is full of love and care, but also many challenges.
In 2011, Yana and Viktor Batiuk took their first child into the family and became foster parents. At that time, they lived in Bilozerske, Donetsk region. Later, they took in two more children and moved to Makiivka. In 2014, because of russian aggression, the family had to return to their hometown. In 2022, the war once again forced them to leave their home, and they evacuated to Cherkasy.
Despite all difficulties, the family managed to keep warmth, care, and stability for the children. In 2024, an important change happened in their lives — in June they moved into a large house provided by the city administration. Before that, the family lived in a dormitory.
The children actively study and develop.
Yana Batiuk shares:
“The children continue to attend kindergarten, school, different clubs, and Sunday school. This year, Nikita started first grade and plays football. Maksym moved to second grade and attends drama classes, singing, and gymnastics. Illia and Vasylina go to a drama studio and play volleyball. Yura has studied acting for many years and this year entered the Kaniv College of Culture and Arts with a state-funded place, majoring in stage performance. Ania is in the 11th grade and continues dancing and playing volleyball. Kyrylo is a third-year student at a road and transport vocational school.”
Our support is aimed at helping foster parents create comfortable, safe, and cozy living conditions for children for life, education, and development.
We are grateful to the Batiuk family for their dedication and love, and we are glad to be part of their big and warm story.
