EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM

Since 2014, Ukraine has faced armed aggression from russia, leading to significant socio-economic losses, a demographic crisis, and large-scale migration challenges. On February 24, 2022, the aggression escalated into a full-scale invasion, resulting in the occupation of approximately 26% of Ukraine’s territory. Due to security threats, over 11 million Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes, with 6 million seeking refuge abroad.

Recognizing the urgent need for rapid action, just three days after the invasion began—on February 27, 2022—we launched an emergency response project, the War Relief Center, mobilizing all available resources. This comprehensive program encompasses four key areas: security, social assistance, medical aid, and community support.

The program has become crucial to our efforts to provide immediate assistance to those most affected by the war. We offer local and nationwide support, focusing on saving lives, improving living conditions, supplying essential goods, and restoring health. Through this initiative, thousands of people have received timely assistance and resources to overcome crises.

The program includes a permanent Crisis Center that brings together part of our team and partners. Its primary task is monitoring the situation and responding swiftly to emergencies. Examples of such efforts include responding to disasters like the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam and the missile attack on the Okhmatdyt hospital.

The program covers four main areas:

  1. Support for Defense Forces. Provision of non-lethal equipment, tactical gear, and supplies to enhance the efficiency and safety of defenders.
  2. Aid for war-affected civilians. Assistance to internally displaced persons and families in meeting basic and emergency needs.
  3. Strengthening community initiatives. Financial and technical support for local charitable and volunteer organizations.
  4. Emergency medical assistance. Supplying hospitals with medications, equipment, and specialized technical tools for urgent medical care.
